Day 1: Hanoi - Halong (L,D)
8.00: Leave Hanoi - Transfer to Halong Bay by private car or shuttle bus (optional)
12:00 Your paradisiacal voyage across Halong Bay starts around noon on Tuan Chau Island at the doorstep of Vietnam’s most fascinating wonder.
As the vessel sets sails, you will be greeted by Paradise Crew and Cruise Manager who will aim throughout your stay at providing you with the highest standards of service for a pure pleasure and utmost comfort onboard our luxury facilities in the stunning surroundings.
Discover some of the treasures disseminated across the Bay of the Descending Dragon during the afternoon: fascinating caves, pristine beaches, picturesque floating villages, fantastic rock formations rising up out of emerald water.
While onboard, you can take advantage at leisure of our Spa, Beauty & Massage services; surrounded by a stunning setting in motion, you will attend our chef’s cooking demonstration and try your skills in the art of traditional Vietnamese cooking.
Defined to be one of the highlights of your Paradise stay, a highly refined, innovative and varied cuisine will be presented for Lunch and Dinner in the elegant dining-room, accompanied by a wide selection of wines and beverages from around the world. Overnight on Paradise Luxury Cruise.
Day 2: Halong Bay - Hanoi (Brunch)
Early birds can attend a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck at the break of dawn. Start the day enjoying some Paradise delights with a colourful buffet breakfast. Continue exploring Halong Bay sailing across its 2000 islets and visiting some of its major highlights.
Your Paradise Cruise will come to an end on Tuan Chau Island between 10.30am and 11.00am.
Transfer back to Hanoi (optional)

Day 2: Halong Bay Exploration (B,L,D)
As the day breaks, you are invited to join a Tai Chi demonstration taking place on the top deck of the vessel. Enjoy a buffet breakfast on the main vessel before being transferred to our day-boat, Paradise Explorer, which will take you to Cat Ba Island. Dropping anchor at Viet Hai jetty, cycle or get a motorbike ride through the jungle to reach the village. Wander around the fields and houses, hike in the forest and immerse yourself in Cat Ba National Park lush vegetation.
Back on Paradise Explorer, lunch will be served as the boat starts sailing again. On the way, stop at Dark Cave & Light Cave area. Kayak, swim, or just enjoy the quiet and splendid setting.
Back on the main vessel, relax and enjoy the facilities at leisure. Bar open, spa, massage & beauty services available for bookings according to your will.
Dinner served onboard followed by movie night, board games or just enjoying a cocktail surrounded by limestone rocks majestically springing out from silent waters in the night. Spend the second night on Paradise Luxury Cruise.
Day 3: Halong Bay - Hanoi (Brunch)

My husband and i joined the 1 night cruise of Paradise Cruise luxury to see Halong Bay. We didn't regret booking such a cruise as their amenities and food were ok.
The excursions to the different sights in Halong Bay made our trip most memorable.
An experience one should try in one's lifetime.

“Magnificent natural scenery let down by pollution”

In mid April my wife and I went on The Calypso Junk for a 2 night cruise. The boat was fine as was the cabin although we did have a water leakage problem in our bathroom from the air conditioner that made the floor contstantly wet.The tour operators tend to mix 1 night tourists with 2 night tourists which is a bit of a pain as the boat goes back to the harbour each lunchtime to pick up new tourists.My wife was not into kayaking so she had to stay on the boat and saw the same stretch of water 4 times. If you take a 2 night trip make sure to ask the tour operator if the boat you are taking is a dedicated 2 night boat.
I went on the 'Day' boat on the 2nd day with two other passengers which took us out towards the open sea and into a small cove where were Kayaked through a cave and came out into a pristine cove surrounded by vertical cliffs. It was totally silent except for the 'whooping' of the monkeys that echoed round the cove. Fortunatley the pollution had not reached there and it was absolutley magical. So my advise is, take a 2 day trip if you want to kayak otherwise stick with the one day. However it is a long way to come for just one night.
The pollution, as many have already said, is very bad and the government need to address this. The other disappointing thing is that the boats are all painted white - not like the web sites that show beautiful timbers and ornate work. Seems that the Gov't ordered all boats to be white and look the same. The paint jobs are shocking - just slapped on with only one coat - such a shame.
Pleased we went, but would not go back unless they fixed up the rubbish in the sea, opened up more of the area to boats and returned the boats to their original state.

After nearly 2 weeks of touring vietnam on bicycles and coach where we had managed to stay away from the maddening crowds of tourists, visiting Halong Bay, its massive number of boats and packed caves, its definitely worth a visit. If you have the pleasure of being on your own boat, the experience can be made less blackpool. A fantastic work of nature, but lots of rubbish in the sea (a problem across most of Vietnam). Don't miss it, but lower your expectations .....
